Testing & Release Project Manager


This position is a Project Management type role for the Testing & Release team.


Responsibilities:


  • Review and assist the Testing and Release Management team in developing a comprehensive work plan and timeline to ensure alignment with program timeline.
  • Serve as QA single point of contact to project partners
  • Form collaborative partnerships with strategic areas
  • Control Testing & Release risks/issues (including issue escalation) for assigned projects.
  • Ensure project Test Execution Plan is documented and contains all pertinent details.
  • Ensure success of Test Execution.
  • Hold the team accountable for the quality and timeliness of their work; escalate issues to the leadership team as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the testing and deployment (processes, control points, artifacts, and signoffs).


Skills/Experience/Qualifications - Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas by drawing on practical work experience:


Must Have:


  • 5-6 years of IT experience preferred; minimum of 2 years experience planning and managing testing or deployment of enterprise-level implementations.
  • Clear and thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and demonstrated understanding of various software development methodologies
  • Cross Functional Test Coordination.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management disciplines (planning, scheduling, cost control, dependency analysis, critical path theory, risk prioritization, etc.)
  • Must possesses and be able to apply advanced knowledge of quality assurance techniques in the design and coordination of QA activities.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project (SME preferred) or other project planning tool.

Nice to Have:


  • PMP a plus but not required.
  • Quality Assurance experience with large scale rollout of an enterprise-level implementation.
  • Experience working with external vendor software implementations.

Automation Engineer


The SQA Automation Engineer will be responsible for the methodology, analysis, design, architecture, and development of functional/regression automated testing solutions using HP/Mercury tools and technologies focused on Quality Center (QC). QC includes QuickTest Professional (QTP), TestDirector, and Business Process Testing (BPT) which is an important part of QTP.


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze end user testing requirements
  • Design and Architect modular and reusable automated testing solutions that satisfy testing requirements.
  • Develop functional/regression automated testing solutions using QTP/BPT, traditional QTP, and/or data driven techniques.
  • Develop custom function/sub-routine libraries to support automated testing solutions.
  • Direct and assist junior automation developers in their work.
  • Train/mentor junior automation developers and test automation end users.
  • Develop/enhance and document automated testing methodology.
  • Design a solid automation framework where test scripts are reusable and easily maintained.
  • Perform identification and implementation of the automation framework, environment, approach, and methodologies which will be used for automated testing.
  • Design, implement and maintain test strategies, test plans and test scripts for functional, stress and load of company's software applications using Mercury Interactive test products.
  • Develop detailed documentation to support the automation effort.
  • Execute test script, report detailed defects description through defect tracking tool.
  • Continually review and improve testing process and implementation.
  • Assist in estimating testing efforts and providing status updates

This position is also subject to being "on call" for emergency situations requiring immediate resolution.


Must Have:


  • 3 years QuickTest Pro automation experience.
  • 2 years Business Process Testing automation development including business and scripted components.
  • 5 years VBScript or equivalent programming.
  • 1 year using Quality Center and/or Quality Center project/site administration.
  • Understanding of testing and development life cycle methodologies.
  • Experience with the following tools Mercury Quality Center (TestDirector, QuickTest Pro, Business Process Testing)

Nice to Have:


  • Experience/Certification: QuickTest Pro and Quality Center Certified Product Consultant (CPC).
  • Experience with Mercury Performance Center (LoadRunner)
